New Bakeware

I love kitchen-gadgets especially when something old is new again. I love to bake, and any shiny new tool warms my heart.

Do you like to bake? What is your favorite baking tool?

Random Thoughts

This post is all about old kitchen tools being new in 2022. I have to say my new favorite is a big cutting board made out of acacia wood. I used my counter as a cutting board, and it shows. Well, they are 39 years old, so I say that my counter tops held out very well. I look around my kitchen at the cuts and scrapes on the kitchen furniture and it shows this house had a lot of living at one time, lots of memories. My kitchen is not a showpiece it’s a kitchen that says come on in for tea and coffee and a cookie or two, my kitchen is warm and inviting. I truly believe that the kitchen is the heart of the home.

The following tools are made by the best company

Ten rules of Baking

10 Basic Rules of Baking

  • Read your recipe. Before you even start adding things to your mixer, read your recipe all the way through. … I’m guilty of not reading thru only to discover that I had missed a step
  • Do the research. Don’t just wing it. Proper preparation is the key for correct results.
  • Avoid distractions. Do not try to multitask
  • Check your ingredients make sure you are using baking soda instead of baking powder or cinnamon instead of chili powder.
  • Check your utensils. …make sure you grease the right size pan before you start
  • Follow the instructions. …do not change the recipe midstream, you may get disastrous results
  • Preheat the oven. …nothing worse than discovering you did not turn the oven on, wasted time
  • Make accurate measurements.do not just dump, or use a coffee cup to measure a cup of flour or sugar

.

Always use fresh ingredient’s

I cannot emphasize this enough. Only purchase the ingredients that you know you will use quickly. ( I recently found a spice I had for eleven years) just use fresh ingredients.

Always crack an egg in a separate bowl, this prevents digging for eggshells in your baking mix.

Conclusion

Never bake when you do not feel like it, chances are the baked item will not turn out right.

I hope you enjoyed this information!

Happy baking!
