Was thinking of purchasing a regular size washer and dryer, I have a washer & dryer in the basement. When I approached my husband he said he didn’t have the strength either to be messing around with wiring and pipes. Plus he did not want to give up one of the bedrooms for a laundry room. Since we are both getting older, we are thinking of moving to a place with no upkeep.
I just turned 65 and going up and down the steps is just to much for these aging legs, plus I don’t have the strength in my hands for holding the banister from the basement upstairs while holding the laundry basket.
Shopping Trip
Let me tell you I had stickier shock at the prices of them as a unit. So I had a talk with myself and decided family is grown, no need for a large appliance. So I did some research on the smaller units. I looked at one that had a washer with a dryer on top. That was $1500.00. Not worth the money, plus that particular set has very bad reviews and breaks down a lot.
Internet Shopping Amazon
Amazon has several apartment size washers and dryers. I did purchase one, name brand is BANGSON portable washing machine. It has a ****1/2 Star rating out of 5
. I have to say yes its portable but you still have to connect to a water line for water supply, and a drain hose for the water to drain out of.the washer I use the removable shower head to fill it up. To drain just unhook the hose in the back and let it drain into the tub.
You can set this up in the kitchen and use the kitchen sink as well.
Let me tell you, I LOVE THIS LITTLE WASHING MACHINE. It does a fantastic job, cleans very well.
Pros
Saves money by not going to the Laundromat.

The spin cycle totally gets all the water out. You can hang up and will dry fairly quickly.
Can use this model in an RV or small space.
